Common Issues & Solutions
Issue: Map not loading
- Check Google Cloud Console: Maps JavaScript API enabled
- Verify billing is enabled on your Google Cloud project
- Check API key restrictions (HTTP referrers)
- Ensure GOOGLE_PLACES_API_KEY secret is set in dashboard
Issue: Map shows grey box
- Container may have zero dimensions - check CSS
- Script might be loading but API not initializing
- Try clearing browser cache and reloading
Issue: Search not working
- Ensure Places API (New) is enabled in Google Cloud
- Check searchPlaces backend function is deployed
- Verify API quota not exceeded
